Rude and disrespectful

We booked a taxi for 4 adults to take us to a restaurant & a return trip. The driver who picked us up was on time, friendly & efficient ( he deserves a very good rating). For the return journey, the company could not come up with a driver and after 50 minutes of waiting & numerous phone calls to them, we fortunately found another means to return home. Alpha cars seem to have a monopoly on all taxi firms in Basingstoke ... sadly they did no fulfill their obligation, so we would not recommend them.

Called a day in advance asking for a 3:15pm sharp service for a school run, even sharing with the operator that if I was not going to be able to make it "my wife would've killed me". Service confirmed and call 30 min before the expected time (2:45pm on the day) to confirm all was booked and ready. 3:15 Nothing!... called and they advise the vehicle was on its way, 3:25 nothing! 3:27 vehicle showed up telling me he was just told about the service. Had to collect my kids at the school reception because of course, I was 10 mins late...

They don't deserve even a one star. I booked a taxi on Friday, wanted it to come on Saturday. I waited 15mins for a taxi, I was in hurry, so I called to Alpha Cars asking where is taxi, the operator said it will be with me soon. Taxi never showed up. I called again and said it's not here so I want to cancel it. They said sorry and sent me a message that the driver couldn't find me which is not true! The taxi never come to pick me up. So disappointed, because of them I was late to my appointment. I will never use them again and won't recommend to anyone.

The company is good depending on what driver you get there is a mini bus driver who resembles Shrek with a Liverpool accent beware he is a greedy bully.

Worst taxi company in Basingstoke order anying thing nere 12pm they say thay can't do it till 1 am rude staff on the phone as well and will lie though there teeth there is only 1 taxi company in Basingstoke delta cars cheaper and want to help you un like greedy alfa cars

Always prompt, friendly, good value. They are flexible and the service is 2nd to none. Best most reliable taxi firm we've ever used. We don't ever use anyone else now.

Totally overcharged. Driver took longest route possible and insisted on a price 4x the cost of getting there by a different company. Even though I have used Prestige for years. Never using them again. They will now lose lots if business due to greed.

Booked a taxi, driver refused to pick up outside restaurant so I had to walk for 5 minutes. Driver then shouted at until I begged him to stop. Driver did not wear a mask and no protective screen in place. I complained and dispatch apologised, however since then the driver has been calling my number early in the morning. Do not use this company. Dangerous

Booked a taxi for an early morning pickup. Told the dispatcher the pickup address and destination and asked specifically for a driver who could take a card payment - told that would be fine. Driver was on time, polite, no complaints there or about the journey. The journey would usually cost about £5.50 in a black cab. Get to destination and discover a: minimum card payment is £10 (!) and minimum cash fare is £7. If is been notified of this in the booking call, I'd have gone elsewhere. Will not use these guys again.

Cheap taxis to order from university halls or private housing. Generally cheap fares into town centre 67 for 45 seater. Take 1015 mins to come or can be ordered for any specified time.

Myself, and my daughters company in Reading will never use again. Very unprofessional when a taxi doesn't arrive when booked.

First class service, booked at last minute, very professional,prompt and an all round first class service provided, would highly recommend to all.

Is this company a joke? Taxi drivers obviously swiping money! 'I dont really like to take card payments' Then tried charging £10 for a £7/8 trip!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! VERY POOR SERVICE!!! ROBBING BASTARDS! Reading the reviews Im not the only one who thinks so!

Awful customer service. Rude office staff, rude taxi driver. Incredibly rude employee swearing and using rude, derogatory language when I complained about the poor service.

They quoted me ?40 for caversham to terminal 4 but end up charging ?45; when checked with the base I receive a response stating that he has incorrectly quoted. This is poor on their part.

Taxi was arranged for 7th May at 0730. Wokingham to Trooper Potts Way Reading Station. Booking was rechecked two days before. Taxi did not turn up. 247 gave no explanation or apology when I phoned. A taxi from another company was asked to collect me. I was over 20 minutes late for a coach trip holiday departure. Luckily I was not left behind. I will never use this company again and will advise others not to do so either. Terrible service.
