    • I understand this is a small company (not sure how small it is now that they have merged with "Swift") & I understand sometimes things can go wrong. I work at The Alexander Club and have done so for about five years. I've been using A2B for about six years in total and after tonight-I will not be using them ever again. Each time I finish work, I call for a taxi stating where I am-outside The Alexander OPPOSITE THE PRINCE OF ORANGE. Sometimes I just ask for the taxi opposite The Prince of Orange and don't mention The Alexander Club because they never send it there. However, on NUMEROUS occasions they send the taxi to the wrong place. And I'm stood waiting. For ages. I ALWAYS have to call again at least once. I'm always left waiting around 20 minutes. I told the driver tonight that I may have to stop using the taxi firm and his DISGUSTING response was "Whatever". Horrible service and tonight the driver just drove me over the edge with his pathetic response. That was after I tipped him!

    • I really dont understand how this company only has 2 stars. I always get Cavalier and use them at least 2 times a week for various things as I cant drive and often wake up late for work. Their drivers are friendly and are almost always here within 10 minutes of booking. Ive only ever had 1 real issue with cavalier since I started using them 3 years ago and the operators sorted my issue out almost immediately. Overall, a brilliant service

    • DO NOT USE this Taxi Company! I called at 10:19 and ordered a taxi for 11:40 to take us to Stalybridge Station, at 11:41 I called again to find out where taxi was only to be told it would be about 5 to 10 minutes as they are very busy, I couldnt believe what I was hearing when the operator also said it was up to the driver if they wanted the job or not....... correct me if Im wrong but my understanding of booking a taxi for a specific time is because you have to be somewhere for a certain time! I would not use this Taxi Company again and would definitely NOT recommend them.

    • Terrible can not be relied upon. Left me stranded after I booked a cab. The latest scam was adding 50pence onto the metre fare. I will be complaining to the authuorities but it's a waste of time. It's uber from now on.

    • Absolutely terrible. Went in to the office at 8.30 pm . Booked a cab. Told five minutes. Ten minutes later. Some one else walks on books a cab. They get a cab within a minute. Guy behind the counter wanted a better fare for his friend. So not only myself as customer is put of ever using this company again. The other taxi drivers are put out of work. Time to get a new control or go out of business.

    • Awful experience with this taxi company, we were left stranded for an hour in the middle of the night in Manchester. We kept calling asking for an update but were just told 'oh another 10 minutes' after an hour of this we cancelled the taxi and went with Uber. Wish we had done that in the first place but the hotel we were staying at recommended Lime Line. Will never use them again.

    • Wrong taxi price to the airport - attempted to charge more when arrived Wrong price from the airport - lied about the driver being there, was another 40 mins, and tried charging more again, also told the driver to get more money even though it had already been disputed and agreed AGAIN on the phone Dont bother using this taxi firm, absolutely crap

    • Unreliable left me stood outside a locked up club. Initially I got a text saying my taxi was booked. However, I rangbafter 30mins to ask why taxi hadn't arrived and was told it would be 5 minutes each time I rang to see where taxi was. This went on for 50mins they then put phone down and cancelled the taxi which I found out when I rang 20 minutes (1hr &10 minutes after booking taxi) later to cancel as I d walked home. I then got a text saying my taxi had been booked. I would NOT recommend this taxi company. I will not use it again!

    • Ordered taxi for 3.30 from training station. Waited for 15 mins. Phoned and told unloading. They said would get driver to phone. I phoned again 10 mind later. Told he was stuck in traffic and another twenty minutes. Useless and rude staff. My family and I use to use service a lot. Last several times they've been late and unapologetic. Will never use them again.

    • Absolutely shambolic service. Taxi ordered the previous day to go to Manchester piccadillly. Didnt turn up kept being told it was 2 minutes away. Had to keep phoning as they still hadnt arrived 20 minutes later. Asked for a reduced fare if they did eventually arrive got £2 off!!! Then was so worried I wouldnt make the train asked if they would refund the train ticket if I missed it. They said they might refund part of the price!!!i said I would expect a full refund if I missed the train. Ive nit missed part of the journey. Then to cap it all I heard another operator talking to my so called taxi driver who was supposed to be with me by this time 15 minutes ago saying well shes kicking off what wonderful customer service!!!!!! Never again will I use the company. Have used it for nearly 20 years to go to the airport but they have definitely lost a valued customer and I will be positively encouraging others to avoid this DREADFUL taxi company.

    • My friend and I used Cartax to pick me up from Manchester airport. The plane was slightly delayed. I wandered round the airport lounge looking for the taxi driver, to no avail. Normally taxi drivers identify themselves but he was no where to be found. I eventually found him by WHSmith and when I told him who I was. He said to me 'you were lucky, I was just about to leave'. What would I have done then?

    • Picked up 3 times this week. First 2 times was same driver, lovely and courteous. Today picked up and windows fully down and soon realised that the driver had a very strong smell of cannabis. Professional drivers smoking drugs then collecting fare payers?! Disgusting!! Will not be using again.

    • My mum rang this number to order a 7 seater taxi they said it was unavailable so she rang a different taxi number assuming it was a different taxi service and asked for a 7 seater again. Turns out the other number was there number aswell and the man was very very very rude to her raising his voice saying we've already told u once we don't have a 7 seater why u calling again. My mum apolgised and hung up. Both numbers were 0161628700/01616241212. I'm very angry at the way my mum was spoken to and immediately ordered her a taxi from limeline who were so helpful and informative. Avoid at all cost!!!!

    • Booked weeks in advance on the way to the venue was fine on return was told to ring to arrange a time the driver did not answer. Rang the company at 11:20 for 00:00 return who said they would send someone. Rang the company at 00:10 to be told they could not contact driver so there was nothing they could do. Claimed because I had only booked at 11:20 it was not there problem although no one had informed us the minibus was not coming it was now 00:20. Ignoring the fact we had booked return weeks in advance. Very unreliable had to book taxis from different company to get 14 people home.

    • Just to let you know I frequently use radio cabs and the journey this evening from Stockport road to Hartshead, pickup at 11.13 was really something to write home about! The taxi itself was clean and well maintained and the driver was polite and courteous and efficient, he assisted me in and out of the taxi which due to arthritis can be a chore for me. All in all, it was a pleasure riding with him. Full marks well deserved. Thank you.

    • Ordered a mini bus from Burlington street given full address on the phone tonight and was waiting outside.. when we got a call saying it's out side when it was not.. It didn't even turn the right way and went to holy trinity church on Burlington street .. so we phoned up and when they finally answered the phone they said it's been cancelled because know 1 was outside.. so ordered it again and we was watching his just saying up the road.. saying he was out side when not.. so phoned again and he turned round and came down the road and his way of talking down to us telling us it was not Burlington street were we was and telling me I don't know my own address that I've lived at for over 10 years.. I told him we told u the address if u haven't been told it then it's not our problem... so my granddaughter was to afraid to go in the taxi.. so we cancelled it and went some where else... I will never use them again xx disgraceful the shouldn't even get a 1 star...

    • Appalling service, don't use this company if you pre-book and expect your cab to turn up. I booked a 7 seater cab a week in advance to bring us home from a family dinner. When it failed to turn I rang the base and was told it would be over an hour late because all the cabs were in Manchester. I said that was unacceptable because I had a pre-booking and was told that if I had rung up for my taxi then I would have been told it would be an hour - but I had pre-booked !!!! I was given the option of two cabs but when I asked if they would honour the confirmed fare for the 7 seater I was told that I would have to pay more for both taxis. We eventually managed to get another company to send us a mini bus. Having read other recent reviews it seems this is a common occurrence.

    • Absolutely appalling service. Booked a taxi for 5:45pm to the airport. No one turned up. We rang at 6pm as they're 15 minutes late - no one answered - the phone was out of service or being hung up on me! We have had to ask a neighbour to take us last minute running 25 minutes late in rush hour traffic! Wouldn't even give this unreliable company one star if I didn't have to!

    • At 10am this morning I booked a taxi for 3:15pm. At 3.05 when the taxi had not arrived I called the taxi company and asked if the taxi was on its was and was told there was no taxi on it way. After explaining i have an appointment in 10 minutes, the lady said she would send one "urgently". Finally at 3.25 the taxi arrived, i was now already 10 minutes late for my appointment. Needless to say the surgery could not fit me in and I missed my appointment. This means not only have I paid £11.10 for a taxi and lost out from an hours of paid work, I now have to do the same this again. I would understand this being a problem if I had not already booked the taxi but as seen as I had booked 5 hours in advance, I was very disappointed and will be looking for a different local taxi firm for all future taxi requirements including my second trip to the surgery. Todays experience was not even worthy of a 1* rating but that is the lowest option available.

    • I asked him to go a certain way. He ignored me. I told him I only pay this much for that way. He ignored me. Took a 'short' cut in the opposite direction, then when I told the driver I wasn't paying what he wanted because I told him I didn't want to go any other way than the way I normally go, he rang the base (who told me only to pay what I normally would) to which the driver then called me a liar and wanted it payed into his personal bank account.. which I thought was weird so I refused as I wanted it through the company and he kept asking for my bank details, not to mention he came into my work shouting and arguing and swearing and when I asked him to be professional, to get the base to ring me and to keep his voice down in my place of work. That's when he started to call me a liar. moral of the story - will be using intime next as more reliable.. first time customer, will not recommend or use again.

    • It's a shame that a certain driver ruins the reputation of this firm. Twice has overcharged me. Miserable fooker too. First time took me all round the houses to get me there. 2nd time he turned up I told him where to turn which he seemed very familiar with and charged me even more than the first time??? Got a taxi back with a local taxi firm and they are always friendly and charge me at least £2 less for the same route? Won't be using again because of him

    • It is nearly one month what I ordered taxi from Premier taxi company. Man on dispatching wrote wrong address to system (mistake 1) and gave this address to taxi driver. This driver start be rude to phone when he called where I am. When I get in car, he start shout at me and beware me!!! I was scared but with calm voice told him thank you for advice but please stop arguing with me. His reaction shocked me. He told me that he can leave me there. After this horrible ride (took 10mins when driver was swearing me) I contact dispatching. They told me they will do something with it. my partner was over-roof and they apologise to him!!! Not to me, just to him!!! This company is terrible and I will go thru council to sort this driver out.
