Taxis in B23

I've been left waiting from 20minutes to an hour on NUMEROUS occasions and when they've just pit the prices up its not acceptable. Its not the drivers fault but the office is not passing them the jobs early enough despite phone calls to the office to remind them

Truly appalling service- couldnt find house, then took couple approximately 8 miles out of the way instead of taking direct route, then charged double the normal price on the premise that it was after 12 prices ( was at an 11.30 pick up). When I phoned to complain, hung up on me twice. Dreadful.

Had a taxi a few times from the Bloxwich radio team and will recommend an use again as they are very well mannered drivers and do there job professionally and honestly Im giving you a 5 For your services well managed firm thanks (malleh chaata ka ne oh) good job guys keep it up

Mom order a taxi was £5 so she gave him £10 said sorry got no charge will be back soon to give her the money still waiting. I phone them and told them I want the money drop off mine and how dear you rip off a o.a.p

Friendly polite staff

Ordered taxi for 8.30am to airport. It did not come. Kept sending messages it would arrive in 5minutes. At 8.56 we got an Uber which arrived in 1 minute. Star cars rang later to apologise after. I had rung them to complain. Apology not helpful if we had missed our flight. Star cars used to be so reliable. What a shame.

Don't use Star Taxis! 8 people all 80 year olds were stuck in the village of Whittington at midnight stranded! This was in spite of having a text confirmation of the booking. 3 phone calls from me only got through to automated voice informing me Star were looking for a driver. Then an email at 00.27 telling me they had cancelled the booking. Appalling, absolutely scandalous! We were eventually rescued by 2 very helpful UBER taxis. Subsequent phone calls for an explanation were made and phone calls back by a manager were promised. Not surprisingly no calls back were received! Don't use Star Taxis!

Rude, unprofessional and couldn't care less. Prebooked day before and they didn't bother turning up. Several calls chasing them and all they could say was there were no allocated drivers!! Shocking. Deserves below zero rating!!

Drivers do not speak English and struggle with basic directions. Pre-booked taxis do not turn up and if you complain all they have to say is "no taxis are guaranteed Rude, unprofessional female phone staff

Im not happy...my elderly mum 78, whos got alzheimers booked a taxi on xmas day with star cars and made it clear to the operator she needed extra help from the door to car as she very unstable on her feet they said no problem. When the driver turned up he walked infront of her and she asked can I hold ur arm and he carried on walking and she fell a 78 year old woman who's unstable on her feet with alzheimers. She as badly hurt her both knees as the driver couldn't be bothered to help her. Then he had the cheek to rip her off with the taxi fair. This is a disgrace and wont be using them again.

Lovely service from Centrex Cars, from the phone call all the way to my destinations. Really recommend giving them a try, you won't be disappointed at all.

Disgusting service from CentreX when my wife and family were going to BHX. Taxi had been booked several weeks in advance but they failed to send a taxi on the day. When she rang to ask where the taxi was, she was told that CentreX had informed the booking comapny (TaxiCode) that the taxi had been dispatched, but they weren't actually sending a vehicle. Only a mad dash involving me and another vehicle both having to come over from Coventry to Sutton Coldfield got them to the airport on time. Shocking customer service, avoid at all costs.

This taxi firm was outstanding from the minute I called the office to when the taxi arrived and had dropped me to my desired location. The operator was very kind to me and so was the driver, they where not rude like other taxi drivers from different firms. I highly recommend this firm it is one of the best in Birmingham.

Taxi company good prices compared to others but taxi drivers always say its more which is annoying for the sake of 50p ..

Very unprofessional booked taxi yesterday for two days they confirmed and when taxi should be outside they said they cant.

Awful service booked an hour in advance but the driver was still late!!! Got me late for a important appointment! And I got no apologies

Will not be catching this taxi ever again. Caught it twice in two days and both days the driver takes you on the longest route ignoring the directions you give so that the meter reading is at a higher price. Not good

awful just awful , female day staff are polite but brainless , I doubt if they could direct a driver to the toilet , the asian staff are just rude & abusive , the only chance you get for decent service/advice is the english guy on nights who has been there for ages - as for drivers 50/50 chance of car stinking of fags or knowing where they are going - sat nav rules !!! set on fast route will take the long way & cost more !!! use uber !! cheaper unless its on surge & car gets there faster & no rude staff to talk to

Great Barr taxis (office staff) take rudeness to customers to a new level. Never knowingly polite. Shame because drivers are polite and courteous.

The drivers seem to know where they are going. But the cars are dirty and smelly. We have also had an issue with other passengers stealing our taxi. The drivers don't check they have the right passengers. The first time was from the Queslett Pub - got the text confirming the car make/model and reg no, got outside and someone else was getting into our car. Had to phone for another taxi. Then, last night we were at a party, I booked a 7 seater as there were 5 of us. When our taxi came, it was the one on the text message and I could see it was a 7 seater, another party of 2 was getting in and the driver didn't say anything. I asked the driver if he was booked for xxxx Road because we had a 7 seater booked, he didn't have a clue. It wasn't until I challenged the other couple, we were able to get in our taxi. What's the point in confirming the taxi details by text, if your drivers are going to let someone else take it? Shoddy service.

I used to use great barr lots over the years I rang up last week to get a taxi to my partners the man who answered the phone in i would say eairly to mid 20s had a really attitude problem. He said I had to pay upfront as I hadnt used them before to which I replied I had many a time only to be questioned to where which I reply he had the cheek to say "ye but you havnt" to which I repled hmmm but I have..... it just went on and on when the taxi arrived I told the driver about the operstor having a really bad attitude to which he was really symphatic and apolagetic about he said I didnt have to pay up and he didnt know why I was told that on the phone. As another user commented the call handler is letting the company down. The drivers I never have a problem with are always friendly.

I was picked up by Red & white taxis and left my new Mobile phone in the taxi.. I called my phone within 3 mins and it was switched off, the base did not want to know. There attitude when they did not keep putting the phone down was "not our problem" Please do not use these crooks

We were told taxi would be 10 mins We stood for 55 minutes just to find out taxi got cancelled and then we waited for the next one which took at least 20 mins and didn't understand a word very disappointed. Will not recommend at all for anyone..

I have been waiting outside for a long time and have my tv with me in the box outside and the the customer service is crap

Used this firm for the first (and only) time on an airport run from Sutton. The price agreed was £35 based on 5 passengers, 2 suitcases and a pushchair. Got to BHX and the driver demanded £45, saying the booking price was based on 2 hand luggages and no pushchair! Called the control centre later that day and they agreed that original price was correct and one of the managers would call be later that day to correct the error. I have called a further 3 times but the managers never call back. AVOID THIS FIRM

Absolutely appalling service. Control room lied twice that a taxi was on its way. Then, when chased for a third time, was told that if I get off the line they will try to despatch one in a few minutes. When it still didnt arrive and phoned to complain about attitude and service, they hung up! Avoid this sham outfit at all costs!!

Dreadful service. 25 mins late and then charged more than quoted. Driver was speeding as well. Did not feel safe.

I have had a terrible experience with this service. I had the phone put down on me by Majid he was very rude and had no customer service skills. I had to wait long for my taxi, when I called he didn't even bother to get a taxi out to me. Never going to us this service about, please don't use this service they will mess you about.

This firm are absolutely useless, driver dropped us boffin the wrong location. Ring the firm their response was did you give the right postcode. Of course I did . Complained they have ignored with no response . Will not be using this firm ever again
